New Series: Just a Thought.

Welcome to my new series called "Just a Thought" which I will post every now and then. Basically, I write down what I'm thinking. It might be serious or just plain fun, it will involve a little bit of writing, but mostly just me talking.😂 So no more explaining and let's get into this.

Just a Thought on Movies, Books, Music, and TV Shows

Ok so as I said some will be serious and this is one of them. Now I don't want to get into politics so before you worry this has nothing to do with politics. I will also try to keep the names of things vague. This is just my opinion and advice.

I realized something as I scrolled through my streaming services. Why is it so easy to find immoral and frankly disturbing media? Yet it almost feels impossible to find integrity and good morals-filled media. There are so many movies with unnecessary violence disturbing sexual scenes and unneeded swear words and the worst part is people watch them. Now I would never say I'm perfect and only watch VeggieTales.😆 But recently I have been trying to watch things that don't give me ideas that go against God. It's easy to put ideas in your mind, but it's a lot harder to take those ideas out. I love writing and posting on my blog because I enjoy putting content out there that isn't harmful to others. I try to support any media that is just plain wholesome.

While TV shows, movies, and music can be harmful I think some of the biggest harm is on social media. You have people who post inappropriate and immoral videos and posts. Or people who make accounts just to troll and hate people. It feels like the more social platforms there is the more terrible content is created. I have been trying to avoid content on social media that goes against God's word.

And support content that is clean and family-friendly.

So what's the reason for this thought? I wanted to remind you to pay attention to the lyrics, scenes, and posts you read. And that God gave you your mind and told us to be careful what we put in it.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
