Acting Like Jesus is Watching

Hey guys!! happy Sunday!!! I hope it's going well, and that you had a good church service. Today I wanted to share another little message, and this one is or at least I feel like it's relatable.

Be Honest

I have a question for you, and be honest with your answer.

Do you sometimes act like a better person cause someone you care about is watching?

Maybe it's your crush or an older person you look up to, maybe it's a friend or a pastor. And every time they're around you act just a little differently, maybe you don't complain as much, or you're quicker to help someone, or maybe you volunteer to pray more.

You see there are a lot of quotes and movies about how people always notice the girl who's naturally kind, like Cinderella.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not naturally nice, and I often think of a bunch of smart comments before compliments, it's a toxic trait that I constantly have to watch. A lot of times I have to force myself to encourage people, and sometimes it just doesn't feel natural.

Jesus Watching

More honesty, I've heard the whole God is always watching over you enough, that it kind of just goes in one ear and out the other, until the other day. When I sat on my bed thinking about it, realizing that I was probably not doing so well.

Sometimes we hear this and I think because we know Jesus will always forgive us, that we don't really have to worry about it, and by no means am I saying that you're now going to the fiery furnace cause you haven't acted like a Christian all the time.

It just seems to me that we look way too hard for approval from people of this world, and very little about what the King of the universe thinks of us.

Imagine if Jesus went to your school, work, or youth group, would you act the way you do? Or even better imagine if Jesus was in your house every day, what would he think?

the truth is we're going to mess up and make plenty of mistakes, but sometimes I think we don't even try our best not to, cause if we act nicer when that special person is around, then that means we're not always acting as nice as we can.
