Love is in the air or maybe just in this post. In case you didn't know I'm a romance lover. what can I say I love love, but I know some people struggle with a good romance plot. I understand, some people love adding romance to their stories but can't figure out which idea fits best. So today I'm sharing a bunch of ideas for a heart-throbbing romance.šŸ˜

Tragic romance ideas

I know some people don't like sad books, but tragedy can really tug on people's hearts, and make them feel the emotions of the characters. In my opinion, a book that makes me cry is a good book. But just because it's sad doesn't mean it necessarily needs to end sadly.

1. A Brutal Love Triangle.

Picture this, two girls (or two boys) both fall in love with the same guy (or girl), but only one of the girls is right for him. That girl goes through pain and suffering watching the guy of her dreams choose another girl.

2. Death

There's nothing sadder than losing someone you love, and when you can show those emotions in a book then you have something amazing. Maybe the character blames him or herself for the death of their true love. Or try to deny their emotions through distractions. A story that shows love and a broken heart can really make your readers feel those emotions.

3. Romie and Juliet

Is there anything more romantic and tragic than forbidden love?! The answer is no. Shakespeare knew what he was doing when he wrote this story. It shows two lovers who are denied their love because of their families. But when writing this you might want to change the ending. It might be a little too sad for most readers.

4. The Man Gets Drafted

A young beautiful girl anxiously waits by the radio hoping to hear good news about the war. And begs God for her husband not to be taken away. during the story the girl finds out what faith really means, but in the end, will he die or live? That's up to the writer, that means you. This story can really make you feel the pain of the woman but also make you curious about the outcome.

A Bit More Happy Ideas

If you want a bit more happy romances but still want them to have emotion then these are the ones for you.

1. They Start Off Hating Each Other

This has been done in every hallmark ever, but there is something lovable about it. like a really organize girl who starts off hating a crazy free-spirited boy, but after he shows her there is more to life than folders they fall madly in love. Sounds a little cheesy? Yeah, I know but you can make it a little bit more dramatized if you want.

2. Bad Boy Meets Christian Girl

I won't deny that bad boys can be a lot of fun to write about, and that is mostly where this idea came from (That and that they are really charming). But when you bring Christianity into your story you get "A Week Away"šŸ˜‚ not really but it is a really good movie that matches this idea. Just make sure that the bad boy gets saved in the end or else you are sending the WRONG MESSAGE!!! this story can bring in a lot of emotions and really catch that romantic relationship, and where God falls in romance.

3. Man With a Lot of Kids Marries Girl With a Lot of Kids

"Brady Bunch" and "Yours Mine and Ours" really capture this story, and romance with kids involved can have so many twists and turns. Plus it can be a lot of fun to write and read. It can also show the obstacles in any relationship.

Fantasy Ideas

When writing fantasy it can be hard to incorporate romance, but for my last ideas here are a few plots for fantasy.

1. The Villain Falls in Love With the Hero

This might be my favorite because it shows the sacrifices needed in a relationship and redemption. And it's perfect for fantasy. In the middle of a war, the villain must decide to follow his plan or throw it all away for the person he's in love with. It's such an emotional story, and it can really remind you of the power of love šŸ˜‚ (me laughing at my own cheesiness).

2. Mermaid Falls in Love with Human

You know the phrase "Don't fix what isn't broken." Well "The Little Mermaid" was one of Disney's most successful movies so why wouldn't it work for you? You can add more mature twists and make the characters a little bit more dynamic. And you don't have to add a purple sea witch (unless you want to). but it's such an interesting idea that works perfectly for a lot of mermaid-themed fantasies.

3. The Person Falls in Love with Someone from Another Universe

Out of all the obstacles I've written, this by far is the biggest. And coming up with the ending is definitely the hardest. But there is so much emotional depth that can be incorporated into this story.

And it's also the longest long-distance relationship ever!

4. Recreate Any Fairytale

This one is a ton of fun and it's a little easier because some of the stories are already written, and there are so many ideas! What if prince charming wasn't that charming and needed Cinderella's forgiveness? Or in "Beauty and the Beast" the beast isn't a literal beast, just a man who needs redemption. See what I mean there are so many ideas! But one that's really special is adding God to the stories. Showing that even in your darkest moment God is still there.

That all of them!

Thanks for reading and I hope some of these inspired you.
