New Series: Writing Definitions

I have another new series that I think will help a lot of beginner writers and bloggers. Through this series, I will be explaining things that some writers/bloggers do.

Now I'm not the best writer/blogger out there. Luckily I have a few friends that have been gracious enough to give me tips, but some of you don't have that. So I put in some research and I will be explaining simple things that some writers do that you don't really get and you don't want to ask for fear of looking like an idiot.

Pinterest boards?

I love Pinterest I mean love Pinterest,😍 but what are these Pinterest boards that people talk about?

I kept reading writing blogs and they kept showing their Pinterest boards that they used for inspiration for their book. and I was like what is this? It was kind of like scrapbooking to me and I was never good at that so I was a little confused. Note not all writers make Pinterest boards. That being said I still wanted to know more. because as I said I love Pinterest. So this is what I found.

Inspiration

Writer's block happens to everyone or when you just don't feel inspired to write. So images and videos that remind you of your story can be helpful and that's what Pinterest boards do. So images of people that match the ideas in your head or scenery that reminds you of your book can help your inspiration.

I didn't know it was a thing so I was a little confused by it, but it does actually work. Recently I have enjoyed the inspiration from other blogs, Pinterest, and my bedroom. Inspiration is powerful and it can make you want to write. I have enjoyed researching this because it inspired me. And you might just see some of my Pinterest boards in the future.

Recap

Pinterest boards are filled with photos that remind you of your book and characters. They make you want to sit down and write, but inspiration doesn't come just from Pinterest it comes from all over if you're looking for it.
