5 tips for writing a Christian story.

Updated: Apr 17

If you are writing a fiction Christian story

then here are some tips.

Before we begin I want to clarify I'm not an expert. these are just a few things I have learned

over the years.

These tips are here to be helpful and to help you understand the reason for writing a Christian story. Also, these tips are really for stories where the unbeliever becomes a Christian at the end.

Tip #1 - The reason

Have you ever asked yourself why you became a Christian? It's important to ask yourself that, but you can also ask yourself why your character became a Christian. Or what the reason might look like to others reading the story. The reason is just as important as the action.

Tip #2 - Accurate to the bible

The Bible is the greatest book ever, and it's the basis of a strong faith. It's important to make sure your story is accurate to the Bible and to encourage others to read their Bible. You want your lesson to not contradict the Bible.

Everything came into existence through him. Not one thing that exists was made without him. John 1:3

Tip #3 - You don't have to preach

If you would have asked me a few months ago I would have told you that every Christian writer should say the words Jesus Christ and God in all of their writing. But I have come to the realization that novels that just preach to you get tedious. I've started supporting any wholesome books, movies, and music whether Christian or not. That being said I think books that show Christ's love are necessary to this world.

Tip #4 - Symbolize

This isn't a must-use, but if you like to write fantasy this might be helpful. Famous authors like C.S. Lewis or J.R.R. Tolkien would symbolize the fight between good and evil in their books. in "The Chronicles of Narnia" spoiler Aslan sacrificed himself for Edmund but came back to life. end of spoiler Hmm, sounds familiar. You can do that too it's a good way to make your story more dynamic and intriguing.

Tip #5 - Pray

This is the best tip of all. You can't get anywhere without God and it's important to pray in every part of writing a good story.

That's all of them. I hope some of these helped you and gave you some inspiration.
